When I was walking through the Calgary airport on Wednesday I was altogether stopped in my tracks by the scene of Rachel Weisz in the most fantastic sweater on the top of American Vogue:
I of course cracked out the wallet immediately.
I desire that sweater — well to be accurate I wish to establish such a sweater. The compounding of very loose stitches and slightly fuzzy yarn and color is just fantastic.
A fold up:
I can’t really imagine ever doing a straight knock off, as I comprehend the whole place of making my own clothes to be that I can take them however I wish to. I design to do something like this. I make a skein of multicoloured mohair from Colinette that I bought off Ebay, which I guess I will use. I never could work myself to pay new prices, but actually what do you do with one skein of mohair (well besides this, which I did with a different skein from the same lot).
I am running out just how I want mine to look.
The jumper is by Rodarte. I am completely smitten with the tights he made with loose knitting too. I believe I only want to take some, and I live only the soul to have that happen.
